The skills training center is specially designed to impart practical skills in students, who may not be able to proceed further with their secondary school education.
The skills tought are aimed at making the students acquire skills to start their own businesses. The course includes: dressmaking, hairdressing, craft, catering, computer studies and agriculture.
The hairdressing and computer labs , which were established in 2006 with the help of British Airways and the Palomer group respectivley, have been of great assistance, since they are equiped with modern facilities that would not have been accessible for the slum people.
The centre had it's first graduation class in January 2007 and has since held several other ceremonies for students on completion of different courses.
